This activity is specifically designed for laboratory technologists, managers and clinicians involved in the use of diagnostic test results to guide rational use of antimicrobials and in antimicrobial stewardship programmes.
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
Review guidelines on AMR stewardship and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and how the laboratory plays a part in ensuring patient safety
Showcase technologies for the detection and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of HAIs
